Overview

Rollform takes the designer through the full design process, as detailed below:

Profile (Product) design: Select a product material, enter the parts (curves and straights) which make up the profile, and define the size of each part. Setting the product datum.
Flower design: Selecting the number of stages (passes), and entering the angles of the profile components stage by stage. Optionally modify the datum for each stage.
Stage creation: Select the options for left and right side of each stage (extend, trap, etc) during the automatic stage creation process. Manually change the stages as desired (insert, remove, change points, change radii, etc – you really need to demo this to get a good understanding).
Roll creation: Select a machine, set the product position in the rollformer, set split positions for each roll (both actually done in stages) and the software will create the rolls automatically.

The following are details of the material and machine design, used in the full design process:

Material design: Specify the properties of the material, including modelling the neutral line position.
Machine design: Specify the size proerties of the machine.
